About me
Dr Piya Sen Gupta graduated from St Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of Medicine, London, UK. She completed her specialist clinical training in the London Deanery and PhD at King's College London.
She is a Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes, Obesity and General Medicine at Guy's and St Thomas' Hopsitals NHS Foundation Trust with over 20 years' experience as a doctor.
She has interests in undergraduate teaching, quality improvement and clinical research.
Areas of interest
General endocrinology including polycystic ovarian syndrome, reactive hypoglycaemia;
Weight management - lifestyle medicine, gut hormone based medications, endobariatrics;
Diabetes care - diabesity, complex/ complications, technology including continuous glucose monitoring;
Metabolic syndrome - cardiovascular disease prevention.
