About me

Mr Robin Rees is an established consultant orthopaedic surgeon working in the independent sector treating patients with knee, foot and ankle problems

He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing patients with these problems having worked previously at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS trust where he was one of the senior surgeons for over 17 years.

During his time here he was the lead surgeon for foot & ankle surgery, running a tertiary service for complex foot and ankle trauma. He also set up and ran an Achilles tendon service treating patients with on-going Achilles tendon problems and was one of the regional centres offering total ankle replacements.

He has developed and is a proponent for the modern minimally invasive techniques in the surgical management of bunions and osteoarthritis of the foot as well as being experienced in the traditional surgical and medical management of common foot and ankle problems including heel pain and Achilles tendonopathy.

He treats all knee conditions including soft tissue injuries, tendon problems, and osteoarthritis and undertakes knee arthroscopy and knee replacement

He brings this knowledge and experience into the independent sector where his philosophy is reduction of pain to improve function and quality of life.
