About me

Mr Matthews is a Consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in limb reconstruction and hip replacement surgery. He completed advanced fellowship training at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and St George's University Hospitals, focusing on complex trauma and revision arthroplasty.

He treats the full range of lower-limb conditions and injuries, with particular expertise in fracture-related problems, infection, and revision surgery. Mr Matthews is an experienced surgical educator, teaches from medical student to FRCS level, and has presented and published widely in trauma and arthroplasty.

Outside work, he enjoys keeping fit, playing tennis, and spending time with his young family.
