About me

Dr James Henry Stuart Low is an experienced anaesthetist working in the East Midlands. He splits his time between treating NHS patients in Derby and seeing private patients in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Dr Low completed his medical degree (MBBS) at the University of the Witwatersrand in 1992. He is fully registered with the UK General Medical Council (GMC) and is listed as a specialist in anaesthetics.

He has more than 34 years of experience. His work focuses on anaesthesia, managing pain, and caring for patients before, during, and after surgery.

In the NHS, he works as a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal Derby Hospital, part of the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
Privately, he sees patients at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital and also works in clinics around Nottingham.
