About me

My name is David Mortimore. I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, a BACP accredited Integrative Psychotherapist, and a qualified EMDR therapist, working with Think CBT from Hythe, Kent. I have 17 years of experience working in substance misuse and mental health settings. My primary focus is on treating depression and anxiety disorders including PTSD, generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, social anxiety, health anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, and low self-esteem. I have also completed training in Long Term Health Conditions. I understand from personal experiences the effectiveness of therapy in promoting change, and I aim to provide this experience to my clients. My approach is non-judgmental and integrative, tailored to individual needs to help clients return to the life they aspire to live. I adopt a warm and collaborative manner to build motivation and achieve goals. I adhere to the policies and ethical standards established by the BABCP and possess full professional indemnity for practicing as a therapist in the UK.
