I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Emersons Green .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Marzena Raszewska-Steglinska is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with more than 12 years of clinical experience in ophthalmology. After graduating from the Medical University of Lodz in 1991, she completed specialist training in ophthalmology and went on to work as a consultant in both regional and university teaching hospitals in Poland.
She has broad experience across general and emergency ophthalmology, having worked in an A&E ophthalmology unit and as a refractive surgeon between 2011 and 2012. In 2018, she completed an Oculoplastic Fellowship at the Royal Free Hospital, London, further enhancing her expertise in eyelid surgery.
Research
Ms Raszewska-Steglinska has contributed to peer-reviewed ophthalmic research, including:
� Simultaneous iris diaphragm implantation and pars plana vitrectomy with silicone oil tamponade � as a method of surgery in severe ocular trauma (Case Rep Clin Pract Rev, 2004)
� Pars plana vitrectomy in retinal vein occlusion (European Journal of Ophthalmology, 2009)
Treatment and procedures
Dr Marzena Raszewska-Steglinska is an experienced consultant ophthalmic surgeon specialising in:
� Cataract surgery (including complex cataract cases)
� Eyelid surgery (oculoplastic procedures)
� Anti-glaucoma treatment
� Management of ocular complications of systemic disease
� Refractive surgery (previous practice 2011�2012)
� Vitreoretinal procedures including pars plana vitrectomy
She has extensive experience managing both routine and complex ophthalmic conditions, with a particular focus on cataract and oculoplastic surgery.
Training and education
Ms Raszewska-Steglinska graduated from the Medical University of Lodz in 1991. She completed her postgraduate specialist training in ophthalmology in 2009 at the 3rd Municipal Hospital in Lodz, qualifying as a Specialist Ophthalmologist.
In 2018, she completed an Oculoplastic Fellowship at the Royal Free Hospital, further developing her expertise in eyelid and periocular surgery.
She has also worked in:
� Bieganski University Teaching Hospital, Lodz
� Pulmonary and Respiratory Diseases Hospital, Lodz
� A regional hospital in Piotrk�w (Consultant Ophthalmologist, 2009�2018)
Ms Raszewska-Steglinska joined Practice Plus Group as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in 2020.
