About me

Welcome! Thank you for landing here.

The reasons we seek therapy, can be much like our humanness messy and complicated. The therapeutic relationship sits at the heart of my practice, as a place where deep transformation can occur.

I have over thirteen years of mental health experience, working with adults, children, young people, families and couples experiencing a range of difficulties including grief, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, and a diverse range of diagnoses.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I bring an integrated approach. I have worked in a range of clinical, community and liberation psychology settings, utilising ideas and tools from a wide range of therapies. Some of these include: Systemic, Narrative, Psychotherapy, Embodiment, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.

My work and writing on Liberation Psychology is widely published in academic spaces and mainstream publications, like The Guardian. I am also an award-winning poet and retreat teacher. Therefore, I am able to integrate writing, psycho-spirituality, poetics and embodiment into therapy. Only of course, if this feels helpful for you.

I offer short or long term therapy with all types of people, experiencing a vast range of difficulties. I have particular experience in supporting those impacted by racism, homophobia and misogyny. I have spent a lot of time working with communities experiencing oppression, such as LGBTQIA+ folks, women and people of the Global Majority. I understand that emotional pain is an understandable response to an oppressive, and sometimes madness-inducing world.

People and emotions are complex and our world is messy and chaotic. Because of this, many people may not identify with labels or diagnoses, which is completely understandable. I do not focus on diagnoses unless particularly helpful. Instead, I work with people to help them make sense of their experiences, within the contexts in which they are in such as systems, families, and cultures.

It's not always easy to ask for support or seek change. Whatever you're feeling, it is welcome here. I offer a radically tender space where we will offer loving attention to the worlds on either side of your skin. You can be from any background or walk of life - it would be an honour to work with you, and be alongside you, in kind and compassionate company.
