About me
I'm a qualified counsellor with a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and groups across a range of settings including the NHS, private practice, education, local authorities, and the charity sector.
I specialise in working with depression, anxiety, trauma (including childhood and adult abuse), low self-esteem, anger, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, life transitions, and neurodiversity (ADHD and ASD). My work is person-centred and integrative, drawing on a variety of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Single Session Therapy, and NLP. I am also trained in trauma-informed and strengths-based practices.
My experience includes working with military personnel, ex-offenders, Macmillan clients (cancer and end-of-life support), and individuals navigating complex trauma and trust issues. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore difficult emotions at your own pace.
I also provide clinical supervision for qualified counsellors and trainees, as well as mentoring and coaching to support confidence-building, resilience, and professional development.
Whether you're seeking support for your mental health, navigating a life challenge, or looking to grow in your personal or professional life, I'm here to support you with empathy, respect, and care.
