About me

What brings someone to therapy? Sometimes it's a general feeling that something isn't right or needs to change, while for others, it's a particular event or situation that has led to feeling stuck and overwhelmed. Difficult feelings may be related to a current/specific problem or there may be a sense that there has been a build-up of stresses or traumas over the years. I am trained in a range of psychological therapies which allows me to tailor my approach to your specific experience, needs and goals. I take a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental approach to my work, endeavouring to help you feel listened to and understood.

I have over 10 years' experience of working in NHS, community and charitable mental health settings with adults, adolescents and children. I am experienced in supporting people experiencing depression, anxiety, loneliness, emptiness, relationship difficulties, anger management issues, stress, low self-esteem and chronic health problems.

I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to allow space for you to ask questions and consider whether you would like to book an initial appointment. If you decide to go ahead with therapy, initial sessions will focus on getting to know you, developing a shared understanding of your difficulties and making a plan for how to address these.
