About me

I have had a private practice based in the centre of Wigan since 2010. I work therapeutically with adults, couples, groups and young people looking at a range of personal and psychological issues. I am a Psychotherapist with a background in Person-Centred Counselling and Compassion Focused Therapy. I offer a warm, safe, non-judgmental environment working closely with each individual to find a unique way of working to help you build up your own therapeutic toolbox. Over the years I have worked within NHS, Lancashire Mind, Occupational Health, local secondary schools and as a lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Salford.
I have an integrative approach to therapy, as this not only reflects my theoretical background and knowledge, but also my personality. I believe the therapeutic process is a joint venture, working together to build a relationship based on respect, support and compassion.
I work both face to face (including outdoor ecotherapy) and online with clients, therapeutic groups and supervisees. I also offer bespoke training and workshops to a range of professionals throughout the Northwest.
