About me
I am a compassionate, and thoughtful Clinical Psychologist (Accredited and HCPC Registered) with over 10 years experience working therapeutically with a variety of people and families with a range of mental health needs. Within the NHS, I work in a maternal mental health service, supporting women and birthing people with difficulties such as birth trauma, pregnancy and baby loss, perinatal low mood/anxiety and bonding/relational/attachment difficulties. I offer independent practice through The Parenthood Psychology Practice alongside.
I have interests in working with trauma, PTSD, attachment/relational difficulties, anxiety, low mood and loss. Within my therapeutic work I use an integrated approach, drawing on principles from various psychological approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and drawing on attachment and relational approaches - this allows us to work collaboratively together to create a plan of support which is tailored to your needs.
Working together to understand your challenges is a core value of mine - I believe finding the right 'fit' with a psychologist is incredibly important. I would therefore welcome an introductory call to discuss whether I may be able to meet your/your child's needs, and to explore if I would be the right person to work with. Please feel free to get in touch.
