About me

Dr. Vincent Udenze is the Medical Director and CEO of Freesia Health, a pioneering private community mental health service. With over 23 years' experience in psychiatry, he trained in General Adult Psychiatry with a subspecialty in Addiction Psychiatry at the West Midlands Training Deanery. He also holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychiatry from the University of Leeds and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Dr. Udenze has held senior leadership roles, including Lead Consultant and Interim Clinical Director at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. He is also President of Reconnect Health Development Initiative, a charity addressing psychosocial needs in conflict-affected communities, and CEO of Intersect Consortium, the largest private mental health service provider in West Africa.

Currently, he works as a Consultant Psychiatrist with several specialist teams at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Trust, including the Riverside Community Mental Health Team, the Intensive Community Rehabilitation Team, and the Adult ADHD Service. He has also led key service development projects, such as the Access and Wellbeing National Pilot Project in Birmingham.

Dr. Udenze is committed to continuous professional development and to advancing innovative models of mental health care. Known for his compassion and ability to listen, he is passionate about reshaping community psychiatry so that patients feel genuinely supported, beyond the limits of financial transactions
