Dr Vincent Udenze is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with over 23 years of clinical experience in mental health care. He is the Medical Director and CEO of Freesia Health, a pioneering private multidisciplinary community mental health service dedicated to providing accessible, compassionate, and holistic psychiatric care.

Dr Udenze trained in General Adult Psychiatry at the West Midlands Training Deanery, with a subspecialty focus in Addiction Psychiatry. He holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychiatry from the University of Leeds and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, reflecting his commitment to the highest standards of clinical excellence and professional practice.

Alongside his private practice, Dr Udenze works within the NHS as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. He has worked with several specialist services, including Community Mental Health Teams, Intensive Community Rehabilitation Services, and Adult ADHD Services, supporting individuals with a wide range of mental health conditions. Through these roles, he has developed extensive expertise in the assessment and management of complex mental health difficulties.

Dr Udenze has also held senior leadership positions within the NHS, including Lead Consultant and Interim Clinical Director, where he contributed to service innovation and the development of new models of patient-centred care. He played a key role in initiatives such as the Access and Wellbeing National Pilot Project in Birmingham, aimed at improving access to timely mental health support.

Beyond his clinical work in the UK, Dr Udenze is actively involved in global mental health initiatives. He is the President of Reconnect Health Development Initiative, a charitable organisation focused on providing psychosocial support in communities affected by conflict and humanitarian crises. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Intersect Consortium, a network of mental health organisations delivering services across West Africa.

Dr Udenze is widely respected for his calm, thoughtful approach and his ability to listen carefully to patients' concerns. He believes that effective mental health care begins with understanding the person behind the symptoms. His practice is centred on providing thorough assessments, clear treatment plans, and ongoing support that empowers individuals to regain stability, confidence, and wellbeing.
