About me

I started working in Paediatrics in 1994 and have been a Consultant Paediatrician for over 17 years, working for The North Middlesex University NHS Hospital Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children as well as privately. I have extensive experience looking after children of all ages, from preterm babies to teenagers, both when acutely unwell in hospital as an emergency and in an outpatient setting.
I understand how worrying concerns about your child's health can be so aim to be as responsive as possible to your needs. I always ensure that your child is fully involved in the consultation, whatever their age.

I was Clinical Director for Women's and Children's Services for 10 years, managing and redesigning local services. I am passionate about training our doctors of the future and am both a paediatric and a neonatal life support instructor, as well as an educational supervisor and trainer for junior doctors doctors.

Areas of interest

I treat babies and children from 0-16;I have a special interest in epilepsy and neonates but am a general paediatrician so manage all conditions affecting children, this includes but is not exclusive to; headaches; seizures; febrile convulsions;asthma; chest infections; recurrent infections including coughs,colds, earache, tonsillitis; chest pain; palpitations; abdominal or tummy pains; constipation; gastroesophageal reflux; feeding difficulties; concerns re growth or puberty; urinary infections; limb or joint pains; musculoskeletal problems; or any health concern regarding your baby, child or adolescent
