About me

My approach to counselling is Person-Centred, which means that it is you who decides what you would like us to work on together and at what pace. This will enable you to unlock your own solutions and discover what you would like to do. An increase in self-awareness leads to the identification of new perspectives and options and can bring greater clarity and peace. When we are given the space and opportunity to find our own answers, they have more meaning to us and are more effective and lasting.

In addition to my private practice, I have volunteered for a local counselling and bereavement service and have been a counsellor in both primary and secondary schools. I am currently affiliated with a number of employee assistance programme providers to work with their various client groups including university students, adults who have received a recent diagnosis of ADHD and/or Autism and people living with cancer.
I have a special interest in supporting those living with chronic pain and long term conditions.

I was previously a school Family Support Worker and have experience of working alongside many parents and carers, helping to enhance parent/child relationships and improve communication.
