I was a Musculoskeletal Specialist Physiotherapist with nearly 20 years of experience, having worked extensively in both the NHS (2005–2024) and private practice from 2021-2025 .
Currently, I manage five busy clinics across Carmarthenshire and Swansea, offering timely, expert care tailored to each individual. My clinics provide customised, evidence-based treatments that prioritise patient goals and use the most up-to-date physiotherapy techniques and advanced interventions.

Research interests

My professional interests include advancing musculoskeletal rehabilitation, particularly in the areas of chronic pain management, joint dysfunction, and early intervention strategies for preventing long-term disability. I have a strong focus on integrating the latest evidence-based practices and NICE guideline updates into clinical care, with a keen interest in the effectiveness of corticosteroid injection therapy, manual therapy, and functional rehabilitation. I am also passionate about developing patient-centred treatment pathways that improve outcomes and reduce dependency on long-term NHS care.

Personal interests

Outside of clinical practice, I’m passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle and encouraging others to do the same. I regularly enjoy walking and gardening as part of my own wellbeing routine. I also run a weekly community fitness class aimed at helping older adults stay active, mobile, and independent. Supporting health and movement at every stage of life is a value I carry both professionally and personally.

Publications

During my time as a CSP Steward, my work was recognised in CSP magazine publications, particularly for my contribution during the COVID-19 pandemic. My efforts to advocate for improved digital access led to the successful acquisition of laptops to help deliver virtual MSK clinics, ensuring continuity of care for patients during a challenging time.

In these features, I also shared how the support and training from the CSP played a key role in developing my leadership skills and supporting my professional growth. Being part of the CSP network has been instrumental in shaping my career and enhancing the quality of care I provide.

Courses offered to GPs

For the past 6 to 7 years, I have been actively delivering the ESCAPE-pain programme (seminars and education to the public through talks (Enabling Self-management and Coping with Arthritic Pain through Exercise) across Carmarthenshire and surrounding areas, both face-to-face and virtually, including throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
