About me

With 20 years of experience, I am a Clinical Psychologist based in the UK, offering a compassionate and person-centred approach to therapy. I trained and worked in South Africa across a variety of community and private practice settings, including psychiatric clinics, day clinics, and my own private practice. Over these years, I've had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including varying ages, cultures, socio-economic circumstances, and presenting concerns.

In my practice, I offer both short-term and long-term therapy for a range of issues, including adjustment difficulties, stress, relationship challenges, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and loss.

Therapeutic Approach
I see therapy as a sacred space for self-exploration and healing, where clients can connect with vulnerable parts of themselves in a safe and supportive environment. For me, building a genuine therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and respect is essential. This relationship is the foundation for the therapeutic process, and I am dedicated to creating a space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

I predominantly work with adults and offer therapy tailored to individual needs, whether through short-term interventions or deeper, longer-term therapeutic work.

Throughout my career, I've specialised in treating anxiety, low mood, trauma, and loss, particularly focusing on the relational dynamics and attachment styles that influence these conditions. My approach integrates psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and relational therapy to help clients gain deeper insight into their self-worth and interpersonal connections.

I have a particular interest in the unique challenges women face in today's world, including the impact of patriarchy, culture, religion, and race on our sense of identity. I am passionate about supporting women to explore and understand how these external influences shape their lives, helping them develop greater self-awareness and resilience.

Additionally, I work with clients who are navigating periods of existential questioning or seeking greater purpose and meaning in their lives. I deeply believe that finding a sense of meaning is a core human need, and I am committed to supporting individuals in this journey of self-discovery.
