About me
Dr Barber Consultant Radiologist practicing in the UK with an established NHS and Private Practice since 2001.
Dr Barber's practice includes all aspects of diagnostic and vascular interventional radiology.
He undertake reading of CT and MRI scans in the NHS and private sectors and performs and reports general and vascular ultrasound.
Dr Barber has a sub speciality expertise in Vascular Radiology. This encompasses the diagnostic elements of Vascular Radiology, and he routinely reports vascular CT and MRI scans. Additionally, he undertakes ultrasound scanning of the vascular system, including the ultrasound assessment of venous insufficiency and varicose veins.
Dr Barber also undertakes many complex Vascular Radiology procedures of the arterial and venous systems. This includes angioplasty and stent insertion for the treatment of arterial disease of the legs and arms, as well as those of the kidneys and bowel.
Dr Barber undertakes the assessment of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and performs Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR).
Within his NHS roles and responsibilities Dr Barber has had a variety of Clinical Management posts. He has been a Clinical Director of Radiology, and has managed all aspects of the quality and safety of a large NHS Radiology Department.
