About me

I am consultant in diabetes and tier 3 specialist weight management services at the University Hospitals of Leicester. My areas of expertise and interests include both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and obesity management including related conditions like hypertension and lipid management.

I have experience in prescribing and supervising novel glucose-lowering medications including SGLT2i and GLP1RA like the weight-loss injections. I ensure that my patients have access to the latest treatment options.

I have undertaken a PhD from University of Leicester exploring the use of novel glucose-lowering therapies in novel populations like young people with type 2 diabetes and those with high BMI.

My research work has been published in high impact research journals, and I have presented my findings at national and international conferences. I continue to take part in research projects focusing on management of type 2 diabetes and obesity.
