About me

I have more than 25 years' experience as a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with very extensive experience of managing a very wide range of respiratory / lung conditions.

I am very experienced in assessing patients with symptoms such as breathlessness and cough. I manage patients with a wide range of conditions including asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, lung infections and lung cancer.

It is a priority for me to ensure patients understand their condition and have their wishes at the centre of how it should be managed.

At Spire I work alongside Mr Rob Peat, respiratory physiologist which normally allows lung function testing at the same visit. I also have access to rapid x-ray and CT scanning facilities and work closely with other colleagues in multiple specialities.

My NHS practice is based at Wirral University Teaching Hospital where I have been Associate Medical Director since 2020. I also work a medical expert witness in cases of occupational lung disease. I was President of the North West Thoracic Society between 2024 � 2026.
