About me

I graduated with Honours from Nottingham Medical School in 1992 and completed my Dermatology training in Leicester before taking up a Consultant Dermatologist post in Derby in 2001.
I provide care for both adults and children with a wide range of skin conditions, including disorders affecting the hair, nails, and genital skin. I also perform skin surgery, although more complex procedures requiring flap or graft repairs are not part of my practice.
My specialist interests include Contact Dermatitis and Paediatric Dermatology. I regularly investigate suspected skin allergies through patch testing, helping patients identify and manage the causes of their symptoms.
I firmly believe that achieving an accurate diagnosis from the outset is essential. By identifying the underlying cause of a skin condition as early as possible, I can ensure that patients receive the most appropriate treatment and avoid the frustration and discomfort that can result from misdiagnosis or ineffective therapies. My aim is always to provide clear, evidence-based care that helps patients achieve the best possible outcomes for their skin health.
