Miss Anna Bridgens is a highly experienced Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon. Her private practice is based at The Portland Hospital, Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital, and New Victoria Hospital. She holds an NHS post at St George's Hospital in South West London, a designated Level 1 major trauma centre.
Miss Bridgens has particular expertise in paediatric trauma, congenital and acquired deformities of the hip, limb and foo (including developmental dysplasia of the hip and clubfoot) the orthopaedic care of children with neurodisabilities such as cerebral palsy and spina bifida, and bone infections.
Miss Bridgens is committed to providing high-quality, personalised care, with a focus on developing individualised treatment plans that address the specific needs of each child and their family.
After graduating from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine in 2003, she completed Higher Surgical Training in Trauma & Orthopaedics on the Percival Pott Rotation, based at the Royal London Hospital. She went on to complete dedicated Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowships at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Evelina London Children's Hospital.
At St George's Hospital, Miss Bridgens leads the orthopaedic management of children with neurodisabilities, alongside her work treating general paediatric orthopaedic conditions and trauma. She has a particular interest in hip dysplasia, clubfoot, and complex foot deformities.
She is actively involved in research and has published multiple peer-reviewed scientific papers. Most recently she has become a junior member of the EPOS Neuromuscular study Group. Her professional affiliations include:
