About me
My name is Clara and I am a Psycho-therapeutic Counsellor, based in Kynaston which is between Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye and Hereford. I offer counselling face-to-face, online or outdoors in nature.
I specialise in person-centred counselling which puts you, the client, at the heart of the therapeutic process and supports you to unravel the threads of your life and to understand yourself and the world better. This might mean exploring your past experiences, looking at how these impact you in the here and now, and exploring new ways of being.
I can also draw on cognitive behavioural techniques if appropriate, having trained and worked in the NHS for several years. These are particularly helpful if you want to work with specific tools and strategies to understand and work with any unhelpful thoughts or behaviours you be struggling with.
I work with both children and adults covering a range of issues, including low mood and anxiety, low self esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, loss and trauma. I also specialise in working with people who have experienced sexual violence.
A lifelong lover of learning and development, I am passionate about supporting counsellors through my work as a counselling supervisor and tutor.
If you would like to discuss how I work and how counselling can support you with your needs, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
