About me
Welcome I'm Cathy, a Person-Centred Counsellor
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of your next steps? You're not alone and don't have to navigate this alone.
I'm a qualified person-centred counsellor. Since 2019, I've been helping adults, children, and young people find clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of self. My approach is rooted in genuine empathy, acceptance, and deep respect for your individual experience.
I offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Whether you're struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem, I'll work alongside you to help you make sense of what's going on and discover your own inner resources.
How We Can Work Together
Sessions are available face-to-face in a peaceful, private garden cabin at my home, or online via Zoom or Microsoft Teamswhatever feels most comfortable for you.
Areas I Can Help With
Trauma
Anxiety and panic
Depression
Low self-esteem and confidence issues
Life changes and transitions
Emotional overwhelm
Challenges unique to children and young people
Why Choose a Person-Centred Approach?
This means our work together is guided by your needs. You are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk beside you offering empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental space to be fully yourself.
Ready to take the next step?
If you're considering counselling or just want to know more, I welcome you to get in touch for a free initial chat. It's important to feel comfortable with the person you choose to work with, and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Areas of interest
I work with children and young people aged 7 to 18 years, offering a supportive and age-appropriate therapeutic space. My approach is person-centred and tailored to meet each individual's developmental stage and unique needs. I incorporate creative interventions such as art, play-based activities, and storytelling to help younger clients express their thoughts and feelings in a way that feels natural and safe for them.
Conditions I commonly work with include:
Anxiety
Depression
Low self-esteem
Emotional regulation difficulties
Trauma
School-related stress and peer relationship issues
My aim is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship that empowers young people to explore their emotions, build resilience, and gain a stronger sense of self. Sessions are available in-person in a private garden cabin or online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
