About me
I'm an integrative therapist. At the start of your therapy we would begin by discussing a way of working that fits with who you are. This can range from focusing on solutions, seeking behavioural changes, exploring your past experiences or using creative techniques.
I help some clients find direction, meaning or purpose in their life. Other clients come to explore patterns that have so far been unhelpful in their lives to help find their potential and live in a way that feels more fulfilling and authentic with their true self. I aim to help my clients understand and give a voice to aspects of their lives that currently feel difficult or painful. This understanding can be cathartic and also help clients make decisions about things or come to terms with areas of their lives that they cannot change.
I offer a down-to-earth approach to counselling, with my belief that at the heart it is a conversation about living. Therapy aims to help you suffer or struggle less and work on opening up the possibilities in your life. I don't attempt to fix you or tell you what to do, and have found that therapy works best when we work collaboratively, so I am not a silent therapist either.
I have experience working with military veterans or members of their families, focusing on issues including service life, operational deployments, or struggles with the transition to civilian life.
I am LGBTQAI+ friendly and affirming.
I am experienced in working with neurodivergent clients.
