About me

"As an osteopath, I specialise in optimising movement and performance. My focus is to keep patients at their best for whatever they do in life."

Gareth achieved his Masters in Osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy in 2013 and followed this by undertaking the world-renowned Applied Functional Science (AFS) mentorship program (GIFT) at the Gray Institute in Michigan, USA. This course not only widened his understanding of how the body functions and moves in the �real world� but he feels it is a fantastic compliment to both his osteopathic skills and osteopathic thinking.

Throughout his career to date Gareth has had a heavy involvement in both amateur and professional sport, which has centered mainly around Athletics but has also included individual work with professional Football, Rugby and Basketball. His personal highlights include being Team Osteopath at the following events:

2015 IAAF World Youth Athletics Championships - Cali, Colombia
2017 European Athletics U20 Championships - Grosseto, Italy
2019 European Athletics U23 Championships - Gavle, Sweden
He spent 7 years as a �Trackside Therapist� within Athletics groups where he was present at training sessions, training camps and at competitions to help maximise athletic performance as best possible. During this time he not only got to travel to many parts of the world and cover many IAAF Diamond League meets but he also developed a key understanding around running and sports injuries with ways to both manage and resolve them.

It is probably no surprise that Gareth himself comes from a very sporty background, having played basketball throughout his youth up until his late 20's. His passion for health and fitness is what led him on the path to Osteopathy. In general practice Gareth has experience of treating patients from a range of ages and complaints, from the young to the not-so young and from the highly active to the office worker and all in-between. He feels his strengths lie in his ability to look at a problem from a global perspective and seek the root cause and not rushing to make a hasty diagnosis.
