About me

Dr Lam is a private consultant obstetrician offering specialised care for expectant mothers at The Portland Hospital in London.

Committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate obstetric care, her years of experience and dedication to women's health make her a trusted partner in every stage of pregnancy and childbirth.

Dr Lam qualified in 2004 after gaining her BA with First-class honours from the University of Cambridge and MBBS with Distinction from Imperial College School of Medicine.

After becoming a consultant obstetrician in 2014 at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, she was appointed the Lead for Obstetric Risk in 2018 and has been the Clinical Lead for the Obstetric Service since 2022.

Specialising in maternal medicine, perinatal mental health, and high-risk intrapartum care, she is experienced in caring for women with complex medical conditions and mental health conditions.

Dr Lam also offers pre-pregnancy counselling for women with pre-existing medical conditions to help optimise and plan for pregnancy.

With extensive experience in managing a maternity service in the NHS, Dr Lam has a deep understanding of governance and safety processes in obstetrics.
