About me
I have a MA Counselling from the University of Manchester and am an Accredited Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have over 10 years of experience gained from working in my own private practice, the NHS, an occupational health company and as an Adoption Support Counsellor for a charitable organisation.
I have experience working with bereavement and loss and am a facilitator of a monthly bereavement support group.
Having worked in law in my first career as a commercial litigation solicitor I understand the demands and pressures of modern life. In fact, it was through my own experience of work-related stress that lead me to re-training as a counsellor.
Counselling offers a space to explore your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental environment. It's an opportunity to gain new perspectives, learn coping strategies, and develop skills for navigating life's ups and downs.
Areas of interest
I work with adults in relation to a wide range of issues including stress; anxiety; depression; loss and bereavement; low confidence and self-esteem; relationship issues; bullying; health conditions; trauma.
