About me
Hi, my name's Abbie. I'm a BABCP and HCPC accredited psychotherapist. I am trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and creative arts therapy, working as a self-employed therapist, supervisor and CBT lecturer at Cardiff University. I am qualified to work with all age ranges and have over a decade of experience working within the NHS (CAMHS) and private sectors. My primary focus is CBT, and I practice using evidence-based treatment. I also draw upon my psychodynamic training when this is needed. If you are stuck in a low mood trap, struggling to turn the volume down on anxious thoughts or trying to make sense of difficult and painful experiences, I would love to work with you. I am committed to helping you to find ways to improve your overall well-being, whilst working in a way that feels safe and containing. I am passionate in supporting people to feel empowered and build resilience, whilst focusing on clear therapy goals. Please feel free to get in touch, and we can arrange an initial phone call free of charge.
