About me
George is a Senior Lecturer and Lead Consultant in Vascular Surgery at the Hull York Medical School and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the UK. He has also been appointed as a Vascular Surgical Specialty Lead at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the International Surgical Wound Association. George is the Chair of the Vascular Access research Research Group for the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
George has worked as an expert advisor to the UK National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) as well as for Industry partners.
George' s research interests focus on optimising healing of chronic and surgical wounds including antibiotic stewardship / resistance and prevention and management of post -operative infections. Other interests include outcomes following major limb amputations. He has over 120 Peer reviewed publications with a h-index of 28.
