About me
I am a BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) accredited counsellor.
I qualified in 2009 and since then have held a number of mental health related roles including working within an NHS secondary services team and working as a Staff Counsellor within the Civil Service. Since 2013 I have worked as a Student Counsellor at a local university which I continue alongside my private work.
I work with adults and specialise in supporting people through significant life changes. This might be due to redundancy, relationship loss (through death, divorce, relationship breakdowns of all kinds) and other significant life transitions. As part of this I have a wide experience of supporting clients who are experiencing low mood and/or anxiety.
My Therapeutic Approach
I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. I work to support my clients to gain self understanding and/or to identify changes that they would like to make in order to make their lives' more fulfilling. My approach is to understand my clients as individuals and to use the tools I have gained through my training and on-going professional development to support them in a way that makes sense to them and supports them in meeting their goals.
Deliver of appointments
I offer both in person and online appointments.
Availability and restrictions
I work during the daytime Mondays and Tuesdays, school term time only. I am unable to work with any students currently studying at the University of Worcester.
