About me
* I am currently taking a short break, and will be returning to work on Monday 22nd September 2025. I will respond to any enquiries on my return *
A warm welcome to my profile.
People seek counselling for many different reasons - whether it is to explore the impact of a significant life event, to reflect on past experiences, to look to change current ways of thinking and feeling, or to release some of life's overwhelming emotions.
Counselling is a place where we can unpack those emotions, get to know ourselves and explore our sense of identity in a confidential, judgement free and safe setting.
As a Counsellor, my role is to provide you with a safe space where you can explore whatever it is that brings you to therapy. I am here to listen in a non-judgemental and compassionate environment, to sit beside you as you share and unpick your emotions, and to support you in developing the skills that will help you to improve your own emotional well-being.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I work with skills from three different styles of counselling:
- Person-Centred practice - traditional talking therapy which focuses on client-led exploration
- Psychodynamic practice - exploring how our pasts affect our present
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - working together to challenge negative thoughts and behaviours
Being integrative allows me to blend ideas from each model to create a therapeutic style that is unique for each client.
I am an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and my practice follows their Ethical Framework. I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
I have worked with a wide range of clients of all ages and backgrounds, including clients with disabilities and neurodiversities.
My experience includes working in a range of settings, including charitable, educational and in the private sector.
