About me

I'm a consultant clinical psychologist and family therapist with 20 years of experience helping adults with emotional and mental health difficulties.

I specialise in working with problem drug and alcohol use, but also work with all kinds of emotional and relationship distress, including managing life with a chronic health problem eg chronic pain, endocrine conditions, DSD (different / disorders of sex development).

Many people I see experience anxiety, low mood, chronic feelings of emptiness, disconnection or shame, often as a result of life experiences involving adversity, trauma and loss.

I can help you make sense of how you've come to be in this place, explore what you want from life, and support you to start making the changes that matter to you.

I work with individuals, couples and families, and adapt my therapy style to your particular needs. I work in the NHS and am trained in CBT, EMDR and Family Therapy.

The most important aspect of therapy is the connection between us. People need to feel safe, listened to, understood and not judged in order for therapy to work. This is always my priority - building a solid and trusting relationship, meeting you where you're at, and working together on your hopes, to get you where you want to go.

I offer therapy and supervision on a private basis.
