About me

As an integrative systemic and family psychotherapist, I specialise in working with individuals, couples, and families.

My approach is grounded in systemic psychotherapy and the principles of Attachment Theory, which emphasises deep impact early relationships and trauma have on our emotional and relational development.

I integrate trauma-focussed therapy, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment-focussed EMDR and Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT), with being further informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), all to help clients process and release trauma stored in the mind and body.

With many years of experience working with people who have experienced early attachment disruptions, I help clients to understand how those powerful early experiences shape patterns of behaviour, emotional responses, and relationships. In therapy, I work with clients to explore how their experiences influenced their relationships, emotions, and sense of self. This exploration lays a foundation for change.

Mental Health:
I have extensive experience in working with adults (17yrs) and children and adolescents (8yrs) in community and hospital mental health services. In my work with children and young people, I offer parenting guidance and support.

Families:
I specialise in supporting families with a wide range of challenges, including recurring conflicts, feelings of disconnection, and the stresses associated with life-cycle transitions (such as pregnancy, childbirth, parenting stresses, illness, separation and loss). I have extensive experience in working with child and adolescent mental health problems and in supporting families to navigate mental health difficulties and learning how to be part of new solutions. In my work with families, I offer attachment-informed parenting guidance.

Whether you are struggling with feelings of abandonment, mistrust, anxiety, low mood or difficulty forming healthy connections, I provide a space to heal.

Therapeutic process
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I work alongside my clients to build a safe and supportive space where we can work toward healing and personal growth. Recognising that no two people are the same, I tailor my therapeutic interventions to the unique needs and aspirations of each person, couple, and family to best support them in creating insights and developing tools to thrive.
