About me
I'm Dr Saimah Yasmin-Qureshi, a HCPC-registered Chartered Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience working across the lifespan, including with children, adolescents, and adults within the NHS. I specialise in providing evidence-based psychological therapy for a wide range of mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety (such as generalised anxiety disorder and social anxiety), health anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), emotional dysregulation, eating disorders (including anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder), low self-esteem, and body image concerns.
I draw from a range of therapeutic models to offer a tailored and flexible approach, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and attachment-informed approaches. I also place great importance on understanding and integrating a person's cultural and religious beliefs into the therapeutic process, where this feels meaningful for the individual.
My approach is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I believe strongly in building a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and I aim to support people in developing effective coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and working towards meaningful personal growth.
