About me

As a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating challenges in their close relationships. While our connections with others can be a source of strength and support, they can also become strainedmarked by tension, conflict, or a growing sense of disconnection that can feel difficult to understand or shift.

Families often work as interconnected systemswhen one part is in distress, the effects are often felt throughout. Just as the body responds collectively to heal an injury, therapy can help families come together to understand challenges, strengthen connections, and support each other through difficult times.

Family and Systemic Psychotherapyalso known as Family Therapyis a specialist approach focused on understanding the dynamics within relationships. It also explores how life events such as illness, loss, unemployment, separation, divorce and/or trauma to name but a few can influence how we relate to one another. Further, it works effectively with the range of mental health difficulties that may also be contributing to relationship distress.

In addition to family therapy, I have further specialist training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). This is a trauma-focused approach that can support individuals processing recent or past events that have been experienced as a trauma and which continue to cause emotional pain or overwhelm.

I offer a supportive, collaborative space to explore your situation in depth. This often invites a different kind of conversationone that can lead to greater understanding, fresh insights, and meaningful change. Whether you're noticing repeated patterns in your life, facing ongoing stress or conflict, or simply seeking clarity and direction, therapy can be a powerful step towards healing and moving forward.
