About me

There are times in life when things can feel overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult to untangle. Whatever has brought you here, you'll be met with warmth, compassion, and a space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard, without pressure or judgment.

I believe counselling should feel supportive, collaborative and shaped around you. Every person's experience is unique, so the way we work together will be too. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, systemic and attachment-based ways of working. This allows us to explore what's happening for you, understand what you need, and help you feel more able to make choices about what comes next, always at your pace.

Some sessions may feel calm and reflective, others more focused and practical. Sometimes you may simply need a space to speak freely. However we work, we'll move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

People come to counselling for many different reasons, including:

Anxiety, stress, or feeling overwhelmed
Bereavement, grief, loss, or affairs
Depression or low mood
Relationship or family difficulties
Self-esteem, people-pleasing, or identity questions
Trauma, feeling stuck, or navigating life changes

Working with Adults - our work together can be:

Explorative, if you need space to talk and be heard
Reflective, if you're making sense of emotions or recurring patterns
Focused, if you'd like practical strategies, clarity, or support with decisions

Whether you're managing anxiety, moving through grief, or feeling caught in unhelpful dynamics, counselling can help you reconnect with (or discover) your strengths, resilience and make your own choices.

Couples & Relationship Counselling:
I offer relationship counselling in a supportive and structured way, usually including both joint and individual sessions where appropriate. This can help improve communication, deepen understanding, and support meaningful change.

I work with many different types of relationships, including couples, parent and adult child relationships, adult siblings, friendships, colleagues, mixed neurotype relationships, same-sex couples, and non-traditional relationship dynamics.

If you're unsure whether relationship counselling is right for your situation, you're very welcome to get in touch and ask. There's no pressure or obligation.

Working with Young People (11+):
Sessions with young people are gentle, informal, and led by trust and choice. Building a safe therapeutic relationship comes first, and we work in a way that feels manageable for them.

Young people are encouraged to have a voice in the process and can decide whether they wish to continue with counselling. Their feelings and choices are respected throughout.

Neurodivergent Clients
I'm neurodivergent friendly, with both lived experience and specialist training. I regularly support neurodivergent clients, as well as ND/NT relationship dynamics, in a way that is understanding, flexible and affirming.
