About me
My clinical work
I am a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience working in both private practice and the NHS. I qualified in 2015 and have worked in a number of NHS services including community and inpatient settings.
My clinical approach integrates evidence-based psychological models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), allowing me to tailor treatment to the individual needs of each client. My therapeutic stance emphasises collaboration, empathy, and respect, and I believe in working together with people to empower them to take meaningful steps towards healing and growth.
You may already have a clear idea of what you want to work on in therapy, or you might be uncertain about how to define your goals. Whatever has brought you to seek support, we'll work together to create a personalised plan for our sessions.
Support for family members
In addition to working with individuals, I am passionate about supporting the families of those dealing with mental health difficulties. I have completed specialist training in interventions for carers and have also conducted research in this area. I recognise the impact that mental health challenges can have on loved ones and offer tailored support to help them cope and play an active role in their family member's journey toward recovery.
More about me
As well as working as a clinician, I am a Lecturer at University College London (UCL), where I coordinate teaching and conduct research as part of a Master's of Science (MSc) course. In my NHS role I lead a team focused on addressing health inequalities and I work with populations who are typically let down by traditional services.
Next steps
If you would like to get in touch, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation in which we can briefly discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and think about whether I am a good fit for you. If you decide that you would like to work together, we will book an assessment appointment. This will involve further exploring you current experiences and identifying what you would like to focus on in our sessions.
