About me

As a Counsellor,I work to offer my clients a safe non-judgemental space where they can explore difficulties they are experiencing.
As an experienced Integrative Counselling Psychotherapist I combine different approaches to support my clients moving forward in their lives in a more comfortable way. Some of the therapeutic approaches I incorporate include Solution Focused Therapy,Psychodynamic Therapy to explore how past experiences may have impacted on present difficulties,Cognitive re-framing of unhelpful though patterns, Psychoeducation related for example to anxiety and grounding mindful strategies which may be helpful to interrupt anxiety or the worry cycle.
Prior to training as a counsellor I worked in the NHS as a Ward Sister and have also taught in Secondary and Further Education,
I feel I have a good understanding of stressors both personal and professional which may affect a person's emotional wellbeing.
I hope the above gives you some idea of how I work.Counselling is a collaborative process.and it is important that you choose the right therapist to meet your needs.
I offer a free 20 minute no obligation telephone call where you can ask any questions or clarify any issues you may be unclear about.
