About me
Dr Ron Dodzro is an award-winning Clinical Psychologist passionate about challenging inequalities in society that impact people's wellbeing as well as amplifying the voices of marginalised communities. Ron specialises in trauma and PTSD, working with individuals, families, communities and systems impacted by community violence. He has an interest in developing creative, trauma-informed interventions that are accessible and meaningful for individuals and communities. With Ron's interest in dissemination, he has researched and written extensively on the experiences of community violence, with features in Forbes, The Voice, The Psychologist, The Clinical Psychology Forum, and various blogs. He has presented at conferences in the UK and internationally and provided workshops to the NHS, HMPPS and community organisations to foster system change. One of his well-known works is a report named 'The Life of A Top Boy: Community Trauma and Violence' which amplifies the voices of those with first-hand experience of the community violence that dominates our headlines. It unpicks the psychological impact of community violence through a lens of trauma.
