About me

I am an accredited Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapist (CBT), a qualified Eye Movement and Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, and a Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) practitioner trainee.

I work collaboratively with people to develop a shared understanding of their experience. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples and families overcome mental health difficulties including Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, interpersonal difficulties and Low Self-Esteem. I take an empathic and non-judgemental approach to help people process difficult experiences and make the changes that matter to them.

Alongside my core qualifications, I have additional training in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dissociation, Autism, Attachment theory and Psychodynamic approaches.

Areas of interest

I have over 12 years' experience within the NHS, particularly working with young people, families and adults.

I am interested in helping people distressed by overeating and binge eating; difficulties often misunderstood and overlooked in NHS mental health services.

I am an experienced clinical service lead, supervisor and university lecturer. I provide advisory services to a consultancy specialising in organisational psychology.
