About me
I genuinely believe that making the choice to engage in therapy is a sign of strength, not weakness. Even though we may be successful in many aspects of life, it is easy to feel overwhelmed at the same time.
I believe in a therapeutic environment where you are given the opportunity to set your own goals. With my skills, knowledge and experience I can help you find your answers, support you in discovering what makes you happy and how to get there.
I am an accredited member of the BACP. I have worked in various settings within the public, charitable and private sectors. I also currently work part time for Steps 2 Wellbeing within the NHS. I attend regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.
I have specialist training in, and experience of, providing bereavement counselling, although my practice is by no means limited to this. Loss, in its many forms, can be core to much of what we bring to and explore in therapy. Present day losses of any kind (e.g. of a relationship, status, health, functioning, achievement, aspirations, lifestyle, routine) might trigger depression and loneliness and, in some cases, memories of past losses that exploration in therapy can help you to process.
