About me
As a qualified counsellor and accredited BACP member, I provide primarily person-centred support, while incorporating CBT tools when beneficial. Person-centred counselling focuses on active listening and empowering clients to find their own solutions. CBT includes exercises to explore and understand thoughts, feelings, or behaviours, or to regulate emotions such as anxiety, depression or low self-esteem. My approach is also trauma-informed, allowing me to effectively support in addressing various challenges faced by clients.
Everyone responds differently to life challenges due to our unique personalities, beliefs, and experiences. I tailor my approach to each client's needs, ensuring personalized support. I believe this also helps to develop a trusting and safe relationship, which is so important in supporting clients in identifying and understanding changes that might help them going forwards.
If you are struggling with your thoughts, emotions or behaviours, or would like to explore specific experiences in your life, speaking with a professional counsellor in a safe, supportive environment may help. Taking that first step can lead to meaningful changes in your life.
If you would like to reach out, I'm available for a free, no-obligation initial telephone consultation to help you determine if I can assist you.
