About me
Mr Rix sees men, women and children with all conditions affecting the kidneys, bladder, prostate and genitalia.
He sees female patients with general urological problems as well as children with paediatric urological conditions requiring both medical and surgical management.
He offers treatments for enlarged prostates, including HoLEP Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate, proven to be more effective than traditional prostate operations.
He treats kidney stones with the latest technology including laser fragmentation, shock wave lithotripsy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy for larger, complex cases.
He is one of the Colchester cancer surgeons, treating prostate cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer and kidney cancer.
He performs complex renal surgery, including radical nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, robotic and laparoscopic (keyhole) nephrectomy as well as robotic and laparoscopic pyeloplasty.
He has trained in microsurgical techniques for vasectomy reversal.
