About me

I am a fully accredited CBT and EMDR psychotherapist, with over 20 years experience working within a variety of different mental health services. I continue to work as a senior therapist and manager in the NHS alongside private practice.

I specialise in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, impacting on their self confidence, mood or anxiety, and ability to truly engage with their life. I also have an interest in working with those who are living with neurodiversity or longer term medical conditions, tapping into my previous background as an Occupational Therapist and desire to empower people to reach their full potential.

I like to work in a transparent and integrative way, using the different tools I have in the best way possible to help you. I believe a trauma focused approach can be beneficial with many situations. I am particularly keen to work within your strengths and help you to connect more with your sense of self identity. I frequently utilise Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy to compliment my approach. I have also completed training that supports an IFS informed approach within EMDR Therapy.
