I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Spire Portsmouth Hospital, Goring Hall Hospital .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Mr Yang is a GMC registered, UK trained Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon. He has more than 25 years of experience treating various eye conditions.
Following his medical degree at Aberdeen University and three years as a house officer, he went on to train in Ophthalmology at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. After another six years of intensive surgical training, he was registered as a specialist in Ophthalmology in the UK and admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. During his training, he developed a special interest in retinal conditions, and pursued an additional two years of subspecialist training, working with world leading retinal specialists in Moorfields.
Mr Yang was appointed as a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth in 2003. He has led innovative changes in vitreoretinal surgery in the department and continues to be involved in teaching, research and initiatives to improve patient outcomes and experiences. He is well published in peer reviewed medical journals on topics covering complex lens implants, vitreoretinal surgery, macular degeneration as well as general ophthalmology.
He lives locally, and is married with three children. His hobbies include cycling, tennis and creative fusion cooking.
