About me

When your mental health is under strain, it can feel unsettling. You might find yourself reacting in ways that don't quite make sense, or feeling as though your thoughts and emotions are running ahead of you. Many people come to therapy wanting a clearer understanding so they can feel steadier and more able to cope.

Living with these difficulties can be exhausting. It helps to have a space where things can be talked through calmly, without pressure or jargon. My aim is to offer a steady, straightforward environment where you can regain a sense of direction and feel more able to move forward.

I've worked in mental health for almost 40 yearsfirst as a Psychiatric Nurse and now as an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (BABCP). I'm comfortable working with whatever you bring. Where it's useful, I can offer a provisional diagnosis, and I use structured, evidence?based CBT to help you understand what's keeping things going and what might genuinely support change.

You're welcome to see me face to face in my office, or we can work together remotely by phone or video. However we meet, sessions are collaborative and paced around what feels manageable for you. My focus is on clarity, practical tools, and helping you build confidence in handling the challenges you're facing.
