About me

I have been a practising counsellor and psychotherapist for nearly three decades. After a diploma level training in Psychodynamic Counselling, I also completed an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy with Children & Adolescents. Although my main training is psychodynamic, I have a base training in person-centred therapy and can now offer EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).
My work is about helping the individual to uncover and understand themselves and their difficulties; to either make sense of problems or just to find the choices that will improve their day-to-day lives. Often we carry patterns of behaviour or feelings that we have become unaware of and I seek to try and help understand what these might be. I work both short and long-term to accommodate this
