About me

Duncan Watkinson has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and a specialist in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in Portsmouth since 2004. He was the Clinical Lead for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth from 2011 to 2019 and again since 2022. He was the Clinical Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics from 2019 to 2022.

He performs the vast majority of operations using arthroscopic surgery (keyhole surgery), having trained in these techniques with Professor Boileau, one of the world's leading arthroscopy surgeons.

He won the American Shoulder and Elbow Society's prestigious Neer Award for Shoulder Surgery in 2005.
