About me

My name is Susanne and I am an accredited integrative counsellor and psychotherapist.
I am passionate about providing a safe space where people regardless of age, sex, gender or ethical background, can feel seen, heard and understood in a warm, empathic environment.

I have 8 years experience of counselling individuals and 10 years of running and facilitating mental health groups for young people and adults with anxiety and depression.

In the therapeutic process you will have the opportunity to reflect and process what is going on for you and how this is affecting you.
Remember your experience will be unique to you.

I trust in the therapeutic process and is aware of how much growth and self awareness it can give you as an individual.

We will work together to find a way of being, which feel right for you.

Counselling can help you feel valued and connected to yourself and the world around you.

I can help guide you through difficult a time and unlock unhelpful thinking or patterns. I also focus on grounding, relaxing and tension techniques, as I believe our past and present experiences are held in our bodies.

Areas of interest

I work with young people aged 11-18 years old and adults.

As an integrative counsellor I adapt my style to suit and support your needs. I do this with care to make sure we go at your pace to allow you to get the most out of our time together.

Sometimes I use a range of creative mediums in the therapeutic process to help gain insight. This could include; timelines; imagery; visualizations; guided relaxation and sand play.

Areas of interest;
trauma and recovery; diagnosis; depression;, anxiety; affairs; BPD/EUPD; ADHD; ASD; stress; emotional abuse; death and bereavement; questioning gender and sexuality; recovery; attachment disorders; burnout; dissociation; loss; boundaries and mush more.

Since qualifying as a counsellor, I have specialized in working with adolescence, to support and address the difficulties as they transition from child to adult.
This has also giving my insight into the impact of adverse childhood experiences and therefor supports the work I do with adults.
