About me
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with over 16 years of experience, interested in understanding how people think, act and how our experiences shape us.
In my practice, I have worked with people from all walks of life, helping them through tough times and life changes. These experiences have broadened my understanding, deepened my empathy, and shaped my non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
Whether you are facing anxiety, relationship struggles, trauma, or seeking personal growth, I am here to help you navigate these challenges and work toward change. Therapy is an opportunity to embrace transformation, much like the seasons shift in nature, encouraging us to adapt and move forward.
What to Expect in Therapy
If you are considering therapy for the first time, it's natural to have questions about what to expect.
Therapy with me is a supportive, non-judgmental space where we collaborate, and you will feel heard, respected, and capable of making the changes you need in your life.
Our work together is collaborative:
We set goals that align with your needs.
We use evidence-based techniques to help you navigate your emotions, gain self-awareness, and develop coping strategies.
I tailor the therapeutic process to suit your unique situation and pace, ensuring it aligns with your goals.
Therapy Options: In-Person and Online
I offer both in-person and online therapy options, allowing you to choose the format that best suits your needs. I practice in Banstead on Thursdays, providing a space where you can feel heard and supported.
Areas of interest
I specialize in treating a range of anxiety difficulties, including OCD, GAD, panic, health anxiety, and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). I also support clients experiencing:
Self-doubt, low self-esteem, and difficulties with decision-making
Relationship challenges and unhealthy relational patterns
Life transitions, bereavement, and loss
Trauma and difficulties with starting or maintaining relationships
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to address unhelpful thought patterns, reduce excessive worry, and build self-confidence. When anxiety or relational challenges are rooted in past experiences, I use Psychodynamic Counselling to uncover and address underlying emotional conflicts. As an Interpersonal Psychotherapist (IPT), I assist with navigating life transitions and improving relationship dynamics.
